WHAT IT DOES
Thermal imaging can help find problems
Thermal Imaging Cameras can identify cold spots in the house.
This can be a sign of a problem we might be able to fix, for example:
Draughts, caused by:
- Holes through walls that haven’t been blocked up,- Gaps around windows where they aren’t sealed correctly,
- Gaps around external doors,
- Air coming through light switches, downlights and other fittings.
Insulation problems, like:
- Missing insulation like a loft hatch
- Cavity wall insulated that has slumped (squashed downwards),
- “Thermal bridging” where cold can pass around or through insulation.
Other problems, like:
- Leaks creating damp cold water into walls and floors.
- Pipework that’s lacking insulation.
